About Alannah

Alannah Chan is an emerging visual artist with a multidisciplinary, studio-led practice in Boorloo/Perth. Alannah is motivated to create independent and collaborative projects that inspire creativity in communities and sparks conversation. Alannah's projects are centred on site, memory and space activation. She uses aspects of everyday life including archives, objects and her immediate surroundings to prompt people to think differently about their own experiences and environments. In 2025, Alannah was the recipient of the inaugural Fortified Artist in Focus Award for her graduation project at ECU, and will be having her first solo exhibition at Fortified next year. During her education at ECU, Alannah was also the recipient of the prestigious WA Women’s Society of Fine Arts and Crafts Equity Scholarship in 2024, which gave her the confidence to pursue her passion for the arts for her personal and professional development.
